Inspiring Designers & Exciting Opportunities!

I wanted to take just a minute to share some pictures and information.  Among the people I have had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with, these are a couple that were just really great. I'm sure you know them (or know who they are)

Her wonderful book with some of my favorite rooms!

With Thom Filicia

His book. He is such a fun, nice guy in person!

Then I was just thrilled when Extreme Makeover Home Edition came to Augusta, GA. What an honor to get to be a part of this great project!! I worked through the night one evening and a little bit another evening. These are some pictures from that. It is a crazy, mad house for sure, but it is great and fun too!!

Ready for them to put me to work in the Extreme Makeover "Uniform"

Pretty Powder Baths

One of my favorite rooms has to be a powder bath. Not a room that much time is spent in, hopefully, but it is a small space where your imagination can run wild. You can do a bold color, different finish, light fixture with some extra "bling" or almost anything special. I like to think of it as a little jewel box. A special room - and here are some...

This is a beautiful powder bath with a soft glazed finish over smooth painted walls- the wall finish gives the walls depth and dimension without adding texture.

Fabulous Finishes

Sometimes I do finishes that I am just so excited about and want everyone to be able to enjoy them as much as I did creating them!  These are some...
Going up the stairs to the Man Room

These pictures are of pecky cypress wood with a beautiful wash on it.  The finish makes the wood look old and worn, but still shows the grain and character.  This is a game room in a cabin- very masculine, but very handsome!

This is the wine cellar in the same cabin- Amazing!  The ceiling is a faux stone barrel and the walls have an aged plaster finish with stones coming through.  Who wouldn't love this?!
The window looks from the kitchen into the wine cellar.

Fresh Finish in a Families Kitchen

I have done this same cabinet finish time and time again, but it never gets old.
The great thing is- it looks so different in each kitchen.  Different cabinet design, wall color, countertop color, lighting, etc. just makes it look a little unique each time.  These cabinets looked so great after finishing, so I wanted to share!

Now complete!  The cabinet finish was the missing piece of the puzzle after this hard working couple had painted, put up new lighting, had new counters and flooring installed and done a beautiful slate tile backsplash.  Thanks for letting me be the finishing touch!

Long time no blog! Time for some FUN FURNITURE!

I am well overdue for a blog post!  It has been quite some time, and not because I haven't had pictures, information and exciting things to share, but because I am a blog slacker.  I have kept up with facebook (sort of) and been posting more on there.  So... I want to share some super cute fun furniture that I did recently!!  I am totally in love with it all and I hope this precious little girl enjoys her new room!!!
This is it before I picked it up and worked some majic with it!

And this is after!  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!  She has the cutest Lilly Pulitzer fabric going in her room and this is just precious with it!
